HSOconnect updated for Orange iCon 515 support

Connecting to the Internet with Linux and the iCon 515.

With the current Linux distro releases the kernel ships with an hso driver that supports the latest Option devices. NetworkManager works well with most of these devices but it has a problem with iCon 505 and icon 515 sold by Orange.

My HSOconnect has been updated to work around this and will hopefully get you connected. You can find the update to HSOconnect and instructions in the forum here

Note: if you have an older distribution (kernel earlier than 2.6.3x) you may need to install the latest hso driver as well.

Orange iCON515M problem
Reply #4 on : Wed June 23, 2010, 13:05:56
Hi there
I'm sorry to bother you but Orange don't seem to be forthcoming with a solution! (So what's new).
I'm trying to install an Orange iCON515M 3G wireless dongle on an Acer Aspire One netbook without success.
The OS is Linpus Linux Lite v1.0.3E.
Does anyone have any advice to offer, please?
