I have been playing with my new HEQ5 mount, checking out how it is controlled and how it performs before trying too much. Satisfied I had accurately polar aligned the mount I tried some LX imaging with my modified SPC 900 webcam to look at the periodic error. Pointing the OO 250mm at NGC 7662 I captured around 85 10second exposures.

It is clear that if I do the PEC recording the mount should be capable of some great unguided imaging. I just have to remember to always Park the mount otherwise the PEC must be re-done.
