I’m Paul Hardwick, an Electrical and Electronic Engineer who has spent a lot of his time dabbling in software. I’ve lived and worked in many countries and in various industries but mostly focused on telecommunications. Since 2009 I’ve been working with a bright bunch of people designing the next generation of smart electricity meters.

I’ve always been fascinated by astronomy, ever since the early 1970s when I made my first telescope using a spectacle lens and a microscope eyepiece (it was good enough to see the rings of Saturn). It has taken a few years for me to be in a position to really devote time to this hobby. Like many I no longer look through a telescope, instead I take pictures.
